Ray Martin's journey in the entertainment industry began after he graduated from high school in 1999, marking the start of his acting career. He landed a role in the popular TV show "Ed," which not only helped him gain valuable experience but also earned him his Screen Actors Guild (SAG) card.
However, Ray's acting career was put on hold in 2002 when he decided to take a break to care for his ailing mother, who unfortunately passed away later that year due to colon cancer. During this challenging time, Ray stayed at home, where he met his future wife, Andrea, and started one of the country's first all-green chauffeur services in 2008.
Years later, Ray had an innovative TV show idea where he would interview celebrities while driving them around in a limousine. Although this concept was years ahead of its time, Ray struggled to bring it to life due to his lack of knowledge on how to make it happen. It wasn't until he ran into Paul Rudd and sought his advice that Ray came up with the idea for "Stealing Paul Rudd," a movie that would take years to develop.
Despite facing numerous setbacks, Ray persevered and eventually turned his script into "Stealing A Survivor," which he directed and starred in alongside George Wendt. Since then, Ray has continued to work on various projects, including "Happy Hour Slasher," "A Christmas Reckoning," and "Killing Smallz," which is currently in pre-production and set to be released in 2022.
Ray's filmmaking style is often compared to that of Adam Sandler, as he frequently incorporates his friends and family into his movies, including his wife and three children. With his unique blend of humor and heart, Ray has established himself as a talented and dedicated filmmaker, always pushing the boundaries of his creativity.
