Biography

Born in 1977 in the western region of Ireland, Ray D. began his academic journey at the Dublin Institute of Technology, where he earned a Bachelor's Degree in Film and Television with a strong academic record, graduating with a 2.1 grade point average in 2001.

Following his graduation, Ray embarked on a brief career in banking in Dublin, but his true passion for writing soon took over, and he returned to his hometown to pursue his dream.

Throughout his writing career, Ray has received numerous awards and accolades for his work in television and film. He has secured multiple rounds of development funding, and several of his scripts have been optioned by production companies.

As a writer, Ray is known for his fearless and inquisitive approach, often exploring themes of twisty dramas, propulsive narratives, and the absurdities hidden beneath everyday life. He is dedicated to crafting stories that surprise and move audiences in the least amount of time.
