Ray Kroc was a prominent American entrepreneur and businessman, renowned for his pivotal role in transforming McDonald's into a global fast food powerhouse. In 1961, he acquired the fast food company, subsequently serving as its Chief Executive Officer from 1967 to 1973. During his tenure, Kroc spearheaded the corporation's exponential growth, meticulously overseeing its transformation into the world's most successful fast food conglomerate. His unwavering dedication and vision enabled McDonald's to expand its reach, eventually becoming a household name synonymous with convenience and quality. Following his retirement from McDonald's, Kroc embarked on a new entrepreneurial venture, purchasing the San Diego Padres of Major League Baseball (MLB) in 1974. He would go on to own the team until his passing in 1984.
