Biography

Ray Gower's journey as a filmmaker began at a young age, with an innate passion for the craft that would eventually guide him back to his true calling. Initially, he explored alternative career paths, including a year of studying medicine and a successful stint in the computer development industry. However, it was only a matter of time before his artistic inclinations would prevail, leading him to return to the world of filmmaking.

Gower's professional directorial debut, "Welcome Home", would go on to win three British TV Awards and garner significant recognition within the industry press. This initial success paved the way for a career marked by numerous dark, dramatic, and emotionally charged TV and cinema spots, earning him a reputation as a prominent fixture on the London commercials scene.

As his reputation grew, so did his opportunities. Gower went on to write and direct a series of short films, laying the groundwork for his feature film debut, Dark Corners (2006),starring Thora Birch. The film premiered at the AFI Fest to widespread critical acclaim.

Today, Ray Gower's future looks brighter than ever, with a number of screenplays in option and a major TV series in development. As he prepares to direct his next feature film, The Chronoscope, it's clear that his passion for storytelling continues to drive him forward, propelling him towards new and exciting creative endeavors.
