Biography

Rainn Wilson resides in Los Angeles with his wife, Holiday Reinhorn, a renowned fiction writer and creator of the novel "Big Cats". Together, they share a son named Walter McKenzie Wilson, born in 2004. Wilson's childhood was marked by a unique blend of Seattle's Pacific Northwest charm and the Midwestern influence of his high school alma mater, New Trier H.S. in Winnetka, Illinois. Prior to his formal education, Wilson attended both Tufts University and the University of Washington, ultimately pursuing a graduate degree in acting from New York University's esteemed program.

Throughout his early career, Wilson honed his craft in various theatrical settings, including off-Broadway productions, national tours with the Acting Company, and regional theater performances at esteemed institutions such as The Guthrie and Arena Stage. His creative endeavors also extended to co-creating and directing The New Bozena, a groundbreaking sketch comedy and post-modern clown show that premiered in New York City and even landed a pilot presentation at Fox TV. Wilson's directorial debut, The New Bozena (2005),was a short film adaptation of the show.

After years of working in television and film, Wilson's breakthrough role arrived when he portrayed Arthur, the unconventional love interest to the much older Frances Conroy on the critically acclaimed series Six Feet Under (2001). Nonetheless, his favorite role to date remains Bill Harris in the film Baadasssss! (2003),a testament to his versatility as an actor.

In addition to his professional pursuits, Wilson is a devoted member of the Baha'i Faith, a global spiritual community that emphasizes the importance of unity, equality, and world peace.
