Raha Raz Ghashghai, a multifaceted and innovative individual, hails from the vibrant city of Tehran and now calls Luxembourg home. This talented filmmaker and visual artist has traversed an unconventional path, initially earning a degree in Architectural Engineering before delving into the world of art.
Under the mentorship of two cinematic giants, Abbas Kiarostami and Asghar Farhadi, Raha refined her craft between 2009 and 2010, and again in 2016 and 2019. The latter experience likely had a profound impact on her artistic development, as she made the bold decision to relocate to Luxembourg in 2019.
Raha's debut live-action short film, "STAIRS", is a testament to her creativity and dedication. Written and produced in Luxembourg, this outstanding work showcases her unique perspective and artistic vision.
Throughout her body of work, Raha seeks to probe the complexities of human emotions and inner fears. She does so by drawing upon her own fantastical worldview, weaving together metaphorical visual language to create captivating and thought-provoking pieces.
