Rafi Pitts is a renowned filmmaker whose cinematic creations have garnered widespread acclaim and numerous awards globally. His feature film debut, Season Five, premiered at the prestigious Venice Film Festival in 1997. His subsequent feature, Sanam, released in 2000, received widespread critical acclaim from French critics, drawing comparisons to the iconic film The 400 Blows.
Pitts' feature documentary, Abel Ferrara: Not Guilty, premiered at the Locarno Film Festival in 2003, where it was featured in the Official Selection. His subsequent feature, It's Winter, premiered in the Berlin Competition in 2006, and the following year, he received the Emerging Masters Award at the Seattle International Film Festival in recognition of his outstanding work.
