R. Scott Leisk is a renowned American filmmaker with a diverse range of accomplishments in the industry. Born in Jacksonville, Florida, to Judith (nee Miller) and Robert H. Leisk, Scott's parents instilled in him a strong sense of creativity and curiosity.
Growing up in Houston, Texas, Scott's early fascination with filmmaking began when he started playing around with his parents' Super 8 camera, making home movies. This early interest in storytelling and visual art would lay the foundation for his future career.
After graduating from the University of Texas at Austin with a degree in Radio, TV, and Film (RTF),Scott's exposure to the works of French and Italian filmmakers of the 1960s inspired him to pursue a career in filmmaking.
