Biography

Ranganathan Madhavan was born on June 1, 1970, to R. Iyengar, a businessman, and his wife R. Saroja, in a Tamil family. This Indian actor, writer, film director, and producer has led a remarkable life, filled with various accomplishments and experiences.

At the tender age of 18, Madhavan's college entrusted him with the significant responsibility of representing India as a Cultural Ambassador to Canada. This early exposure to international diplomacy laid the foundation for his future endeavors.

A year later, he and three of his college friends were selected to undergo training as army cadets in Britain, where they received instruction in the royal army, navy, and air force. This experience undoubtedly instilled in him a sense of discipline and determination.

During his time conducting courses on public speaking, he met Saritha, an air hostess, and the two eventually got married seven years later. In 2005, they welcomed their first child, a son named Vedaant.

As a devoted vegetarian and animal lover, Madhavan is a brand ambassador for PETA. He is multilingual, fluent in English, Hindi, and Tamil.

Before making his debut in the film industry, Madhavan gained popularity on television, appearing in over 1800 episodes of various soaps on national networks. He also starred as the main character in a mobile game, further expanding his fan base.
