TyQuan Ford, professionally known as "Pug", has been captivated by the thrill of riding dirt bikes and performing daring stunts, particularly popping wheelies at nearly vertical angles, on urban streets. This passion is reminiscent of the 12 O'Clock Boys, a group of dirt bike enthusiasts who have been riding on the streets of Baltimore, Maryland for over a decade.
However, due to the illegality of performing vehicle stunts on public roads, or riding dirt bikes at all in certain cities, this activity has become a symbol of civil disobedience and, to some extent, organized crime. As a result, there have been numerous confrontations between police patrol units and these dirt bike riders, occasionally leading to fatalities from concussive injuries.
When Pug was just sixteen years old, on a spring Saturday in 2014, he found himself being pursued, knocked off his bike, and tased by Baltimore police while riding. Miraculously, he was not charged with a crime, but he did sustain injuries that left him walking on crutches for a while, and his bike was likely permanently confiscated.
Despite the outcome of this incident, Pug's passion for dirt bike riding remained unwavering. To maintain his anonymity, he often wears a bandana to obscure his face while performing his daring stunts on the streets.
