Priya Rajaratnam is a multifaceted Canadian actress and dancer, hailing from the culturally rich city of Jaffna, Sri Lanka. Her early life took her on a journey to Monchengladbach, Germany, and later to Vancouver, Canada, where she would eventually call home.
Rajaratnam's artistic inclinations were nurtured from a tender age of five, as she underwent rigorous training in the classical Indian dance form of Bharatanatyam for over a decade. Her passion for the arts extended to Karnatic singing and Violin, which she also studied with dedication.
However, it was a chance encounter with a professional acting class in Vancouver, British Columbia, that sparked Rajaratnam's fascination with the art of acting. This serendipitous moment set her on a path of self-discovery, leading her to enroll in Theatre Performance at Simon Fraser University. As she honed her craft, she appeared in numerous student and independent films, as well as stage plays, before venturing into the world of network TV shows and feature films.
