Pravesh Kumar is the visionary artistic director and founder of the esteemed Theatre Company Rifco, a testament to his tireless dedication to the world of theatre.
Before joining Rifco, Pravesh Kumar had a distinguished career in the Indian Film industry, also known as Bollywood, where he honed his skills as an Assistant Director and Writer. His impressive body of work includes a notable nomination for the prestigious Satyajit Ray Short Film Award in 2009 for his captivating first short film, Gods OnMountains.
Pravesh Kumar's foray into theatre began in 1999, when he made his directorial debut with the captivating production, Bollywood - YetAnother Love Story. Since then, he has been instrumental in bringing to life a plethora of Rifco productions, including the critically acclaimed Airport2000, There's Something About Simmy, It Ain't All Bollywood, The Deranged Marriage, Where's My Desi Soulmate?, Meri Christmas, Britain's Got Bhangra, MummyJi Presents, and Break The Floorboards.
In addition to his work with Rifco, Pravesh Kumar also served as Associate Director on the groundbreaking new musical Wah! Wah! Girls, which premiered in the West End as part of World Stages London for the Olympics 2012.
