Biography

Born in the vibrant city of Taipei, Taiwan, Wang Ping-Wen's journey into the world of film and television began with a strong foundation in journalism, as she graduated with a degree in Journalism from Chengchi National University.

Wang Ping-Wen then furthered her education by pursuing an MFA in Film and Television Production from the esteemed Loyola Marymount University, where she honed her skills and developed a deep understanding of the craft.

As a filmmaker, Wang Ping-Wen has directed a number of critically acclaimed short films, including "Between Us" (2014),"Labyrinth" (2016),and "Military Dog" (2019),showcasing her versatility and talent in storytelling.

In addition to her work in film, Wang Ping-Wen has also had the opportunity to participate in prestigious workshops, including the Produire au Sud Taipei Workshop in 2018 and Talent Tokyo in 2019, further expanding her network and expertise.

Wang Ping-Wen's feature film debut, "A Journey in Spring" (2023),has garnered significant attention and accolades, including the Silver Shell for Best Director at the 71st San Sebastian International Film Festival, solidifying her position as a rising star in the film industry.
