Piers Richard Corbyn, a British individual born on March 10, 1947, has worn multiple hats throughout his life, including that of a weather forecaster, anti-vaccine activist, conspiracy theorist, and former politician.
Corbyn's early life unfolded in Wiltshire, where he spent his formative years before relocating to Shropshire, where he attended Adams' Grammar School. He went on to secure a first-class Bachelor of Science degree in physics from Imperial College London in 1968, followed by a Master of Science degree in astrophysics from Queen Mary College, University of London, in 1981.
As a member of the Labour Party, Corbyn served as a councillor in the London Borough of Southwark from 1986 to 1990. Interestingly, he is the elder brother of Jeremy Corbyn, the former Labour Party leader. Corbyn's association with the Labour Party came to an end due to his strong opposition to the Iraq War.
The 1990s saw Corbyn establish a weather monitoring company called WeatherAction, which garnered significant media attention for his predictions and, later on, for his rejection of the scientific consensus on climate change.
During the COVID-19 pandemic, Corbyn emerged as a prominent proponent of conspiracy theories. He described SARS-CoV-2 as a "hoax" and actively campaigned against lockdowns and COVID-19 vaccines, viewing them as dangerous. Corbyn's actions did not go unnoticed, as he was arrested on several occasions for participating in protests against public health laws and for urging his supporters to engage in violent acts against members of Parliament.
