Phyllis Flax's journey in the entertainment industry was a long and winding one, marked by a late start in movies and television. However, her passion for acting and performing had begun at a remarkably young age, when she took to the stage for the League of Nations at just five years old. This precocious start led to her being taken under the wing of comedian and impresario Vic Oliver and his wife Sarah Churchill, daughter of the esteemed Winston Churchill. The Olivers, who would later become her legal guardians, gave her the surname Oliver, and Phyllis would go on to study at the prestigious Royal Academy of Drama and Arts in London.
