P.H. Moriarty, a native of England, embarked on a late-in-life acting career, having previously pursued various professions, including that of a boxer and an alongshoresman.

As fate would have it, while working on the English docks, a film crew happened to be shooting a scene, and the production team discovered Moriarty's unique presence amidst the maritime activity. They were so impressed that they invited him to join the cast, thus marking the beginning of his acting journey.

Throughout his illustrious career, Moriarty has amassed a diverse range of film credits, including the notable Guy Ritchie feature film Lock, Stock and Two Smoking Barrels, in which he portrayed the charismatic Hatchet Harry.
