Peter Gail's early life was deeply rooted in his hometown of Newberg, Oregon, where he grew up on a hazelnut farm. His athletic prowess shone brightly, as he led his high school soccer team to a state championship during his senior year. This impressive feat earned him the title of Oregon State player of the year, subsequently recruiting him to play at Duke University.
At Duke, Peter's passion for acting began to unfold. During his freshman year, he was cast in the Tennessee Williams play Orpheus Descending, marking the start of his journey in the world of theatre. He went on to appear in numerous other productions, while simultaneously earning his degree in English and Drama.
As a talented athlete, Peter also captained the soccer team to an ACC championship during his senior year at Duke. This achievement led to his drafting as a professional soccer player. However, after a brief stint in the sport, Peter decided to trade in his soccer boots for a life in the spotlight as an actor.
In 2005, Peter landed his first major film role as "Doc John" in the Sam Mendes Gulf War drama Jarhead. The following year, he played the spirited "Danny Doran" in Andrew Davis' Coast Guard film The Guardian.
In addition to his film work, Peter has also been a part of several television shows, including "ER", "American Dreams", and "Without a Trace".
