Person biography:
Paul was born in Bridgeport, Connecticut, and spent his childhood summers at the beach on Long Island Sound, where his family owned shoreline cottages. He began his performing career in a rock band, playing popular favorites for the beach community of Lordship, and studied Drama at the Shakespeare Theater in Stratford.
After graduating from Trumbull High School, Paul pursued formal Acting studies with the Department of Dramatic Art at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and the Carolina Playmakers. He spent the summer of 1974 acting in the legendary Outdoor Drama "UNTO THESE HILLS" in Cherokee, N.C., and later apprenticed at the Westport Country Playhouse in Westport, CT.
Paul joined the premiere season of the Hartman Theater Company in Stamford, CT, where he performed in Conservatory and on Main Stage, working with renowned actors and directors. He made his way to Hollywood in September 1976, where he landed roles on popular soap operas and worked with notable actors and directors.
Paul returned to the East Coast and worked in radio, television, and motion pictures, earning his Union Cards and becoming a stalwart SAG-AFTRA Member in good standing since 1976. He is now associated with the Mid-Atlantic Branch and is celebrating his 50-Year Gold Union Anniversary in 2026.
