Paulina Singer is an American actress born on September 5, 1991, who has gained recognition for her performances in various television series and films. Notably, she played the roles of Grace Bledsoe in the WE TV horror drama series South of Hell and Jessie Tyler in Freeform's teen drama series Dead of Summer.
Born and raised in Exeter, New Hampshire, Singer's family background is diverse, with her father being of African American descent and her mother of Ukrainian heritage. Prior to pursuing a career in acting, Singer studied for a year at Eugene Lang College The New School for Liberal Arts in New York City before deciding to drop out and focus on her acting ambitions.
At the age of 19, Singer joined the Upright Citizens Brigade to hone her skills in improvisational theatre. Her early professional endeavors led to her being cast in a main role in the WE TV horror drama series South of Hell in 2015, executive produced by Eli Roth and Jason Blum. She portrayed the character of Grace Bledsoe alongside Mena Suvari and Bill Irwin.
The following year, Singer joined the regular cast of Freeform's teen drama-thriller series Dead of Summer, playing the role of summer camp counselor Jessie Tyler. In 2017, she took on the lead role of Kelley Winters in the Lifetime television film High School Lover, starring alongside James Franco, Lana Condor, and Julia Jones.
