Paul Whitsun-Jones was a Welsh actor born in 1923 in Monmouthshire, near the border with England. He began his career in television in the early 1950s, appearing in a range of productions, including the ground-breaking series "The Quatermass Experiment" (1953) and the children's series "The Gordon Honour" (1956).
Whitsun-Jones often played authority figures, such as butlers and policemen, and was known for his corpulent build and thick black hair. He appeared in a number of ITC series, including "The Saint" (1962) and "Man of the World" (1962),and worked frequently with Roger Moore.
In addition to his television work, Whitsun-Jones appeared in a number of films, including "The Moonraker" (1958),"Room at the Top" (1958),and "Tunes of Glory" (1960). He also worked in theatre, appearing in productions such as "Oliver!" (1960) and "Fiddler on the Roof" (1967).
Whitsun-Jones continued to work in television throughout the 1960s and 1970s, appearing in a range of productions, including "Maigret" (1963),"The Odd Man" (1963),and "The World of Wooster" (1965).
