Paul Urkijo Alijo, a renowned Spanish filmmaker, was born in the year 1984 in the vibrant city of Vitoria-Gasteiz, situated in the culturally rich Basque Country. As a child, he was deeply fascinated by the magical world of cinema, literature, and comics, which would eventually shape his creative trajectory.
Growing up, Alijo's imagination was fueled by his love for mythology and traditional tales, a passion that would later influence his predilection for the fantasy genre. Upon graduating from Fine Arts in 2008, he began to hone his skills as an illustrator and short film director, laying the foundation for his future endeavors.
In 2016, Alijo made his feature film debut with the critically acclaimed "Errementari," a testament to his talent and dedication to his craft. Since then, he has continued to push the boundaries of his creativity, with his latest project, "Irati," set to be released in 2023.
