Biography

Paul Oleynick, a talented individual born in Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada, developed a passion for the movie world at a young age, and his fascination with impersonating his favorite characters only grew stronger. He pursued his dream by joining drama at an early stage, which led him to New York, where he won the prestigious TV Real People Jr. Commercial competition at the International Modeling and Talent convention.

After his victory, Paul enrolled in The National Institute Of Broadcasting Inc. Upon graduating, he landed his first voice-over role as Ralph, the Dog, on MTN, Manitoba Television Network, earning him a National CANPRO Gold Award for Excellence in Canadian Broadcasting. His subsequent role as Promotions Writer/Producer/Director involved creating original movie trailers and promotions for popular shows such as Seinfeld, Friends, Frasier, The X-Files, Star Trek Generations, and The Simpsons.

In 1997, Paul joined A-Channel, Calgary, where he launched the new channel and received a CANPRO Gold Award for writing, producing, and directing a TV promotional contest campaign. He was also a CAB Canadian Association of Broadcasters finalist for the show Ohhh La La. Later, he briefly worked with Warner Brothers affiliate KQCA out of Sacramento, but had to put his plans on hold due to his green card processing taking too long.

Paul eventually settled in Edmonton, where he wrote, produced, and directed on-air promotions for Corus Entertainment's Movie Central, serving Western Canada and occasionally taking on national projects. When the company relocated to Toronto, Paul decided to pursue his first love, radio, and freelance broadcasting and acting, showcasing his quirky comedy style.

Throughout his career, Paul has also acted in three award-winning international educational dramas, a rock video with The Age Of Electric, voiced numerous commercials for TV and radio, played the hero and villain in a million-dollar virtual reality game for Project Whitecard Inc., voiced an international film trailer, co-narrated a Manitoba documentary, voiced three children's audiobooks featured on Amazon and iTunes, acted in three films, and directed two successful theatre plays, Talk Radio and Done To Death.

In 2018 and 2023, Paul was invited to appear on RVN TV, New Jersey, to discuss his career as an award-winning TV/radio on-air promotions writer/producer/director, voice-over artist, and impersonator. He was also featured on the cover and in Formidable Men Magazine in March 2023 and showcased his impersonations on The Michael Finkley Show in 2023 and 2024.
