Paul's formative years were spent in a small town situated just outside the vibrant city of Waco, Texas. His initial foray into the world of television occurred in 1955, when he appeared on a TV show in the bustling metropolis of New York City, participating in a "baby race" that marked the beginning of his illustrious career.
In the 1960s, Paul worked on a series of commercials for a local rental store in Waco, honing his skills and building his resume. He later relocated to Dallas, where he signed with the esteemed Sarah Norton Agency in the 1970s. This marked the beginning of a fruitful period, during which he appeared on the popular TV series "Dallas" and in numerous commercials and films.
In addition to his work on "Dallas," Paul was also a regular fixture in numerous commercials and training films for Marina Kate Agency, showcasing his versatility as a model. He has also worked on projects in New York and other locations, further expanding his professional portfolio.
After taking a brief hiatus to work for Carnival and Admiral Cruise Lines as Chief Purser in the 1980s, Paul returned to Dallas and continued to work in the entertainment industry. He appeared in several productions of the popular TV series "Walker, Texas Ranger" and more recently, has appeared in "The Good Guys," "Chase," and "Lone Star."
Paul's impressive crew work has included serving as Jon Voight's primary stand-in on "Lone Star," as well as standing in for Keith David and Mark Deklin. He has also spoken fondly of his work on the original "Dallas," where he served as Patrick Duffy's primary stand-in on the new TNT series. Additionally, Paul was honored to stand in for Larry Hagman on the pilot episode of the revamped "Dallas" series.
