Paul Guay is a multifaceted individual with a wide range of expertise in the entertainment industry. He is a writer, actor, director, teacher, script consultant, speaker, and workshop leader, whose movies have grossed over half a billion dollars.
Guay is perhaps best known for conceiving and co-writing the screenplay for Liar Liar (1997),which was a major commercial success and received an Honorable Mention in Script magazine's list of the Best Scripts of the Past 10 Years. The screenplay was also published in two drafts by Harvest Moon.
In addition to his work on Liar Liar, Guay has co-written several other successful films, including The Little Rascals (1994) and Heartbreakers (2001). He has also polished the screenplay for The NeverEnding Story (1984),which went on to spawn a successful franchise.
Guay began his career in the entertainment industry in marketing, advertising, and publicity, where his clients included major studios and celebrities. He graduated Cum Laude from Pomona College with a double major in English and philosophy.
Currently, Guay is working on several projects, including a new comedy film inspired by an outrageous true story. He has also made his directorial debut with a series of short comedy films, including The Godfather (2023),The Vampyre (2023),and Who Guardeth the Guards (2023).
