Biography

A renowned British character actor, possessing a rich background in radio and stage performances, dating back to 1951. Prior to embarking on his illustrious career, he had the privilege of studying at the prestigious University College in London, where he honed his craft and laid the foundation for his future success.

Subsequently, he pursued further training at the esteemed Old Vic Theatre School, where he refined his acting skills and prepared himself for the demands of the stage. This comprehensive education and training enabled him to tackle a wide range of roles with confidence and aplomb.

In 1952, he embarked on a tour of South Africa, showcasing his talents to audiences in this distant land. Following this experience, he returned to his native England and began to make a name for himself in the world of Shakespearean theatre, taking on numerous roles in Stratford-upon-Avon.

As his career progressed, he became a ubiquitous presence on British television, earning a reputation as a versatile and accomplished actor. One of his most notable roles was that of the ruthless tycoon John Wilder in the popular series, The Plane Makers, which aired in 1963.
