Patrick Roddy's academic credentials include a Master of Fine Arts degree in Film and Television Producing from the esteemed University of California at Los Angeles, as well as a Bachelor of Arts degree in Media and Theatre Arts from Montana State University.
With over twenty-five years of experience in the film industry, Roddy has built a diverse portfolio as a filmmaker, working primarily as a producer, but also honing his skills as a director and writer.
Beyond his work as a filmmaker, Roddy is also a dedicated educator, having served as a resource coordinator at Film Independent (formerly IFP/LA),where he provided guidance and support to aspiring filmmakers. He has also taught video production at McNeese State University, producing at the University of Arizona, and digital filmmaking at the Art Institute of Tucson.
In addition to his teaching and resource coordination roles, Roddy has held leadership positions within the academic community. He served as the Academic Director of Media Programs at The Art Institute of Tucson and the Associate Dean of The Art Institute of Houston, utilizing his extensive knowledge and experience to shape the next generation of media professionals.
