Patrick Houser's story begins in California, USA, where he made his television debut at the tender age of four on "The Art Linkletter Show". This early start in the entertainment industry was followed by a hiatus from show business, as he sought a more normal life. Years later, his neighbor, a casting director, encouraged him to take acting classes, which ultimately led to his stage debut in "Marathon Madness" in Los Angeles, California.
As his stage career flourished, he continued to take on various roles, including William Shakespeare's "Taming of the Shrew". He also made his film debut in the 1982 movie "Endangered Species", directed by the respected filmmaker Alan Rudolph. Following a 20-year absence from television, he returned to the small screen, playing the role of Daryl Hannah's boyfriend in the TV movie "Paper Dolls" in 1983.
Concurrently, he continued to build his feature film career, appearing in two back-to-back comedies: "Hot Dog... The Movie" (1984) and "Weekend Pass" (1984). The former, a cult favorite, has seen cast reunions at public events every 10 years. In an acting class, he met Canadian actress and beauty queen Marie Laurin, whom he later married.
Together, they had a daughter, actress and filmmaker Clara Gabrielle, who also acted alongside him in an episode of his television show "Outlaws in Independents" in 1987. Unfortunately, the show was canceled after just 12 episodes. Following this, his acting career began to wind down, and he eventually disappeared from the public eye.
It wasn't until the 30th anniversary of "Hot Dog... The Movie" in 2014 that his whereabouts became unknown, as organizers were unable to locate him. He later divorced Marie Laurin in 2016, bringing an end to his acting career and public life.
