Patrick Dewayne is a multifaceted individual, embodying the roles of actor, director, and producer with remarkable ease. Born in Germany, he spent most of his formative years in Frankfurt, where he received a creative education in music, acting, and dancing. During his school days, he actively participated in various extracurricular activities, including joining choirs, founding a hip-hop dance-performance group, and a theater group, where he honed his skills in playing, arranging plays, and musicals.
After completing his German high school, Dewayne pursued an apprenticeship in the banking business in Frankfurt, working at the Frankfurt Stock Exchange as a stock trader and MarketMaker. However, he eventually left the banking industry to pursue his true passion for acting, studying film and television in both Los Angeles and Brisbane, Australia.
Dewayne's creative endeavors soon took him to the gold coast of Australia, where he shot his first music video, "Let this love be real," in collaboration with award-winning director Chris O'Kelly. He then returned to Germany, becoming a part of the popular daily soap "Gute Zeiten - Schlechte Zeiten." His music career also flourished, with the release of his hit single "Alles was bleibt" (2004),which reached the Top 20 in Germany and Europe, as well as his album "Closeup" in November 2004.
In the mid-2000s, Dewayne crossed paths with director Fernando Scarpa, with whom he worked on the musical "Martin Luther King - the king of love," playing the roles of the preacher and Malcolm X. He later collaborated with renowned L.A. acting coach Ivana Chubbuck in January 2008.
From 2009 onwards, Dewayne began working with non-governmental organizations (NGOs) as a host and presenter, earning the title of best TV Host in Germany in 2014. He also worked with the German TV network WELT, serving as a stock exchange correspondent, providing information on the global financial markets. Despite his diverse endeavors, acting has always remained his first love, and he has since shot several international award-winning shows and features, including "The heavy load," "Tatort," and the ARTE/ZDF banking mini-series "Bad Banks" in 2017/2018.
