Pascal-Alex Vincent's journey in the film industry began after studying film history at the prestigious University Paris III. He then ventured into Japanese film distribution in France, marking the start of his professional career.
In 2000, Vincent's first short film, "Final Exams", premiered, kickstarting his collaboration with Local Films, which would go on to produce his next five shorts. One of these shorts, "Baby Shark", earned a nomination for the Palme d'Or at the 2005 Cannes Film Festival, while his animated short, "Candy Boy", was selected for the Director's Fortnight at the 2007 Cannes Film Festival.
In 2009, Vincent released his first feature film, "Give Me Your Hand" ("Donne-Moi La Main"),starring identical twins Alexandre and Victor Carril, which premiered in 15 countries, including the United States, where it was released theatrically by Strand. The film received critical acclaim and was showcased at the New Directors/New Films event at the Museum of Modern Art in New York.
In 2010, Vincent directed the first authorized documentary about Miwa, a renowned Japanese impersonator from the 1960s, titled "Miwa, a la recherche du lezard noir". The same year, he directed the short film "En Colo", a collection of shorts aimed at combating homophobia.
Pascal-Alex Vincent's music video credits include "The Princess and the Pea" for the California-based band Family of the Year, released in May 2011, and "Darwin Smiles" by the band Kill the Young, released in July 2011.
In 2012, Vincent is set to direct his second feature film, a horror/thriller titled "It's In The Trees" ("Dans La Foret"),produced by Balthazar Productions and Jerome Doppfer. The film will star European film star Francois Goeske in the male lead role.
