Michael Steck, better known by his stage name Pandora Boxx, has been captivating audiences around the world for over a decade with his unique blend of humor, charisma, and talent.
Pandora's most recent appearance was as a contestant on the popular TV show RuPaul's Drag Race, which aired on Logo's LGBT network. Despite not winning the competition, Pandora emerged as a fan favorite and was named "America's Next Drag Superstar" by Entertainment Weekly.
The show's high ratings and Pandora's breakout performance led to an invitation to become a drag professor on the spin-off series RuPaul's Drag U, which airs Monday nights at 9pm on Logo. Additionally, Pandora will be hosting the upcoming Dragtastic: NYC Stand Up Comedy Special on Logo.
In addition to his TV appearances, Pandora has a successful career in the entertainment industry. His alter ego, Michael Steck, is a creator, writer, and star of his own public access and internet show, The GAY (means happy) SHOW!, which will return in 2011.
Michael's extensive credits include stage performances in Steel Magnolias, screen appearances in A Voice from the Lantern, and television appearances on VH1's drag documentary Boys Will Be Girls. His work has also been featured in several film festivals, including the ImageOut Gay & Lesbian Film Festival and the Berkeley Film and Video Festival, where he received two honorable mentions.
Pandora's writing credits date back to his childhood, when he wrote and produced his first play for his elementary school. His award-winning written works have been published in several collegiate publications and LGBT publications, including celebrity interviews with Cyndi Lauper, Julie Brown, Mink Stole, and RuPaul.
His latest project is the hit play "The Lipstick Massacre," a comedic murder mystery in which he also starred. The play premiered at Rochester's MUCCC to four sold-out shows, prompting its return several months later to the prestigious Geva Theatre Center. The show was a huge success and may continue its life in NYC soon.
Pandora continues to tour the nation, capitalizing on the success of RuPaul's Drag Race.
