Pablo Mazzolo, a multifaceted individual, was born in Buenos Aires, Argentina in 1976. As a filmmaker and educator, he has dedicated his career to exploring the boundaries of analogue film formats, delving into the intricate relationships between human and natural landscapes.

Mazzolo's body of work is characterized by a focus on indigenous sovereignty, the remnants of military dictatorship, extinction, and environmental catastrophe. His fascination with these themes has led him to create a diverse range of films that have been showcased at numerous international festivals, museums, and galleries.

Some of his notable works include Diego La Silla (2000),Oaxaca Tohoku (2011),El Quilpo sueña cataratas (2012),Fotooxidación (2013),and Ceniza Verde (2019). These films have been exhibited at prestigious institutions such as Arsenal Institute for Film and Video Art, Museo Nacional Centro de Arte Reina Sofía, Melbourne International Film Festival, Berkeley Art Museum and Pacific Film Archive, and many others.

His film Conjectures (2013) won the Grand Prize at the Media City Film Festival (2013),while Fish Point (2015) received the Kodak Cinematic Vision Award at the Ann Arbor Film Festival (2016). Additionally, Cineza Verda (2019) was awarded the Grand Prize at the Buenos Aires International Festival of Independent Cinema (2019).

Beyond his work in film, Mazzolo is a dedicated educator. He is currently a Professor at the National University of Quilmes, where he teaches courses on visual perception and image creation. He also works as a freelance documentary film editor and has a passion for teaching workshops on visual perception and image creation to young people living with autism.
