Olivier de Funès, the youngest son of the renowned comedian Louis de Funès and Jeanne de Funès, a grandniece of the celebrated French author Guy de Maupassant, was born on August 11, 1949, in the vibrant city of Paris, France.
Unlike his father, Olivier did not follow in his footsteps to pursue an acting career, instead, he chose to soar to new heights by becoming an airline pilot for Air France, a dream he had always cherished.
In 1977, Olivier tied the knot with Dominique Watrin, with whom he shares three wonderful children. Additionally, he collaborated with his older brother, Patrick, to publish a book in 2005, titled "Louis de Funès : Ne parlez pas trop de moi, les enfants", a loving tribute to their beloved father.
Throughout his brief yet remarkable film career, Olivier had the privilege of sharing the screen with notable actors such as Geraldine Chaplin, Jean Marais, Mylène Demongeot, and Bernard Blier, leaving a lasting impression on the world of cinema.
