Biography

Olivia Hamnett embarked on her acting career in repertory theatre throughout England, laying the foundation for her future success, before transitioning to television. Subsequently, she relocated to Australia, where she solidified her elegant screen presence in the television series "Rush", as well as sharing the screen with the renowned actor Richard Chamberlain in the film "The Last Wave", and taking on the role of screen mother to young Ricky Schroeder in "The Earthling". As a seasoned veteran of numerous television productions, Olivia Hamnett's most memorable performance came in the cult drama "Prisoner", where she portrayed Kate Peterson, a highly intelligent and enigmatic former doctor who was imprisoned for poisoning her partner. Many "Prisoner" fans regard the Kate Peterson storyline as one of the absolute highpoints of the show's seven-year run.
