Oliver Rayón was born in Puebla, Mexico, and moved to Southern California with his single mother at the age of four. He grew up in Bellflower and Santa Ana, California, and developed a passion for sports, music, and acting.
Oliver's early life was marked by a love for music, singing in the choir throughout elementary school and junior high school, and winning recognition as a soloist. He also played Pop Warner Football and National Junior Basketball.
In high school, Oliver discovered his talent for math and science, and joined the Air Force ROTC to become an electrical engineer and pilot. However, he eventually left the program to pursue his passion for acting.
Oliver attended Orange Coast College, where he rekindled his love for performing and was quickly cast in several college theater productions. He played Estaban in the one-act play "Lynette at 3 a.m.", Montano in an OCC production of William Shakespeare's "Othello", and Herb in an OCC production of the musical "Godspell".
After completing his training at Orange Coast College, Oliver transferred to California State University, Long Beach, where he studied under the direction of Hugh O'Gorman and Anne D'Zmura. He worked on productions such as "Metamorphoses" and "The Caucasian Chalk Circle", and earned his BA in Theater Arts in 2007.
Oliver's training continued at The Actors Center in New York City, where he studied Fitzmaurice Voicework, Balinese mask work, movement, and scene study. He was coached by masters in their fields of specialization, including Grace Zandarski, Per Brahe, Felix Ivanov, and Scott Freeman.
Oliver's early career included roles on local-market TV shows, short films, and a stint as a recurring character on the Univision telenovela "No Me Hallo". He has also appeared on long-running daytime soaps such as "General Hospital", "Days of Our Lives", "The Bold and the Beautiful", and "Criminal Minds: Beyond Borders".
Oliver has played a wide range of characters, from the Latin romantic with a passion for the paranormal to the all-American assistant left in charge of a frightening turn-of-events. He has also worked on various independent feature films, including "In Transit", "Spermicide", and "Mega Summer Hit: A Slam Dunkumentary".
Oliver's most notable work includes his role in the indie thriller "Room for Rent" alongside Lin Shaye, and his portrayal of Florentino "Indian Charlie" Cruz in the Western feature film "Doc Holliday's Revenge". He has also produced his own content, including the dramatic web-series "Studio City Kings".
Throughout his career, Oliver has been driven by his passion for storytelling and his commitment to versatility and craft. He continues to add leading and supporting roles in a range of projects, solidifying his position as a talented and adaptable actor.
