Olimpia Fernandez was born on April 11 in Queens, New York, to a father of Cuban descent and a mother of African American and Italian heritage. Raised on Long Island, she developed a passion for performing at a young age, with a desire to be on stage as an actor that began when she was just five years old.
Throughout her childhood, Olimpia was involved in various activities, including dance lessons, gymnastics, and baton twirling, but it was her love for acting that truly drove her to pursue her dream. She regularly participated in community plays, church plays, fashion shows, and beauty pageants, always seeking opportunities to perform on stage and hone her craft.
As she grew older, Olimpia recognized the importance of perfecting her craft and decided to enroll in The American Academy of Dramatic Arts in New York, where she proudly attended and graduated. She then worked tirelessly to gain valuable experience performing on New York City theatre stages before making the move to Los Angeles.
In Los Angeles, Olimpia continued to work hard, landing small roles in sitcoms, game shows, commercials, hosting gigs, voice overs, and independent films. She also had the opportunity to host and MC several events, including A Night of Comedy at the Wilshire Ebell Theatre, which featured renowned comedian Paul Mooney, and landed a guest starring role alongside comedian Joe Torry in Love Make things Happen at the Wiltern Theatre.
Olimpia's first lead role with Full Moon Pictures led to the production company using her for three additional times as lead and supporting lead roles in future projects. She also wrote, produced, and performed the theme song for Killjoy 2, in which she played the leading role.
