Inchun Oh is a multifaceted creative force in the film industry, with a career spanning multiple genres including horror, thriller, and action. While attending Korea National University of Arts, Oh began to make a name for himself by writing and directing various projects, including 'A MOMENT', a collaborative effort with Beijing Film Academy. This hard-boiled thriller, filmed entirely in Beijing, showcased Oh's ability to seamlessly blend Korean and Chinese cultures.
Oh's breakthrough film, 'Metamorphoses', was written, edited, produced, and directed by him in 2011. This unique fusion of action, horror, fantasy, and comedy earned him the Best Director prize at the Seoul World Short Film Festival. The film received numerous accolades, including official invitations to various prestigious festivals such as the Busan International Short Film Festival, Mise-en-scene Short Film Festival, and the Asian Film Festival of Dallas.
In addition to his feature films, Oh has also ventured into music video direction, with his work on 'Looking for her' for rock band Theatre 8 in 2012. The music video received an official invitation to the Secramento film festival in the United States.
Oh's first major feature film, 'Mourning Grave', was released in 2014 and marked a significant milestone in his career. This hybrid horror feature film showcased Oh's versatility and earned him the Europe Fantastic Film Festival Federation Asian Film Award prize at the Bucheon International Fantastic Film Festival. 'Mourning Grave' also received official invitations to the Toronto Reel Asian International Film Festival and the Fantasporto International Fantastic Film Festival.
Currently, Oh is working on his new action-comedy feature film, 'Chasing', which promises to be another exciting addition to his impressive filmography. With his talent, dedication, and passion for storytelling, Inchun Oh is undoubtedly a force to be reckoned with in the film industry.
