Biography

Octavian was born in September 2003 in Vancouver, British Columbia, to a Canadian father and an American mother, holding dual Canadian and American citizenship. He currently attends the University of Southern California's School of Cinematic Arts in Los Angeles.

His fascination with film began at a young age, initially sparked by movie soundtracks, particularly the works of John Williams. Octavian's love for film was further nurtured when his father won a FLIP Camera at a work event, which led him to write and direct his first movie, "Kids vs Aliens," at the age of eight.

During a family trip to India in 2011, Octavian started experimenting with stop-motion film. His acting career kicked off in September 2014 when he was cast as the lead in the music video for the Vancouver Island band Current Swell's song "Rollin." He soon landed the role of Arnie in the short film "Strawman" (2016),earning the Best Supporting Actor award at the UBC Persistence of Vision Film Festival.

Octavian's notable roles include speaking parts on "Once Upon a Time" and "Supergirl," as well as his performances in "Hater's Back Off" and "The Flash," for which he received a 2016 Joey Award. He has also appeared in the short films "The Cameraman" and "The Cameraman Chapter II" (2022),the latter of which featured him reprising his role as Annie.

In addition to his acting work, Octavian has made a name for himself in voice-over acting, with credits including the web series "Plum Landing" and "Reboot: The Guardian Code." He has also ventured into voice-over work, contributing to various projects.

As a multi-award-winning filmmaker, Octavian has participated in numerous film festivals, showcasing his work at over 50 events worldwide. At the age of 13, he took part in a 96-Hour Film Festival with his short film "The Test." Since then, he has written and directed numerous shorts, earning critical acclaim and recognition for his efforts.

One of his notable short films is "MIA," which was his first Union UBCP/Actra production and won an award of distinction at the Canadian Short Film Festival. The film also screened at Arthouse Asia. Octavian completed his short "Bump in the Night" (2019) at the age of 16, which went on to be screened at prestigious festivals such as the Telluride Horror Film Festival.

His latest short film, "Wormies" (2022),has received widespread recognition, winning Best Short Film at the Terror in the Bay film festival and Best Student Film at the Spooky Empire's International Horror Film Festival.
