Norm's journey in the performing arts began at a remarkably young age, with his initial forays into musical theater setting the stage for a lifelong passion. Subsequently, he transitioned to the world of dance, joining the prestigious Ballet West, where he honed his skills and explored the art form.
However, after a period of time, Norm's enthusiasm for ballet began to wane, prompting him to rekindle his earlier love affair with theater. He emerged as a highly accomplished choreographer, performer, and director, showcasing his impressive range and versatility.
Norm's first foray into the world of cinema was with Universal's Airport '75, a film that marked the beginning of his journey into the realm of filmmaking. Concurrently, he also developed a keen interest in film makeup, a skill he had previously honed through his extensive experience in stage makeup.
Over the course of several years, Norm continued to work in various capacities within the film industry, ultimately becoming disillusioned with the commercial aspects of the business. He subsequently shifted his focus to television, where he wrote and directed several local shows, further diversifying his repertoire.
In a full-circle moment, Norm eventually returned to his first love – theater – where he continues to perform, direct, and teach dance to this day, his passion and dedication to the art form unwavering.
