Her primary role is as a writer on the beloved animated series Bob's Burgers, where she has made significant contributions to the show's development. In addition to her writing duties, Smith has also worked as a character designer, replacing Loren Bouchard for the final five episodes of Season 1, from "Spaghetti Western and Meatballs" to "Torpedo". Her creative range extends to the creation of songs and musical numbers, including the memorable Harry Truman song from "Mother Daughter Laser Razor" and the iconic "Happy/Crappy place" from "Late Afternoon in the Garden of Bob and Louise".
