Nora Dunn's illustrious career began with her stint at the renowned Second City comedy troupe, where she eventually caught the attention of Saturday Night Live's (1975) casting directors. This led to her joining the esteemed SNL cast, which included notable talents such as Joan Cusack, Robert Downey Jr., Anthony Michael Hall, Jon Lovitz, Dennis Miller, Randy Quaid, Terry Sweeney, Danitra Vance, A. Whitney Brown, and Al Franken, during a period commonly referred to as the "Dark Years" in the history of Saturday Night Live.
Prior to her rise to fame, Dunn graduated from the prestigious Art Institute of Chicago and further honed her craft at the Jean Sheldon Acting Workshop in San Francisco. In addition to her notable roles in television and film, Dunn has also showcased her exceptional talent through her critically acclaimed one-woman show, which has been performed in theaters across the country. Moreover, she has recently completed a screenplay that she will direct, and has also authored a book titled "Nobody's Rib".
