Niranjan Pal, a renowned figure, was the son of the illustrious Indian nationalist Bipin Chandra Pal. During his adolescence, he was drawn to the fervent extremist movement in Calcutta, and in a heated altercation with a British officer, he emerged victorious, defeating the officer and making off with his firearm. The consequences of his actions led to an arrest warrant being issued in his name, prompting him to flee to London, where he found solace among fellow nationalists Veer Savarkar and Madanlal Dhingra, who would later be executed for their involvement in the assassination of a British officer.
In London, Niranjan Pal pursued his passion for script-writing, and it was during this period that he gained the attention of the esteemed filmmakers Franz Osten and Himansu Rai. Together, they embarked on a collaborative venture, establishing Bombay Talkies, one of India's most influential and pioneering film studios. This remarkable individual's autobiography, "Aye Jibon", went on to receive the prestigious President's National Award in India in the year 2001.
