Biography

Nir Paniry is a renowned Middle Eastern writer and director, celebrated for his outstanding work in the film industry. His professional journey began in the indie world, where he garnered immense recognition by winning the IFP award for best narrative for his drama, KAMIKAZE DOLLS. Prior to venturing into feature films, Nir focused on crafting a series of captivating shorts, which ultimately led to the release of his debut feature film, EXTRACTED, in 2012. This low-fi sci-fi masterpiece premiered at the esteemed SXSW festival, showcasing Nir's remarkable talent. Since then, he has been actively involved in writing specs and assignments across various genres, demonstrating his versatility and adaptability as a writer and director.

Notably, Nir's spec scripts, DRACULA and VAN HELSING, were acquired by Sony, with Joe Roth producing, while PRINCESSES, a fantasy tentpole he developed in collaboration with Lawrence Grey, was sold to Sony, Amy Pascal, and Simon Cowell.
