Biography

Nigel Barrie, a renowned thespian, entered this world on February 5, 1889, in the vibrant city of Calcutta, which was then a part of the Bengal Presidency within the vast British India empire.

Throughout his illustrious career, Barrie distinguished himself as a talented actor, captivating audiences with his remarkable performances in notable productions such as Bab's Diary (1917),The Little Minister (1921),and Der Turm des Schweigens (1925).

In his personal life, Barrie was twice married, first to the lovely Gertrude Poklington and later to the charming Helen Lee.

Sadly, Nigel Barrie's remarkable journey came to an end on October 8, 1971, in South Africa, where he had chosen to spend his later years.
