Biography

In the summer of 1996, Searcy embarked on an ambitious endeavor, producing, directing, and acting in his first independent feature film, Carolina Low, which was later released in 1997.

Searcy's impressive filmography boasts a wide range of credits, including blockbuster hits such as Nell (1994),The Fugitive (1993),Cast Away (2000),Head of State (2003),Runaway Jury (2003),and The Ugly Truth (2009).

Before achieving mainstream success, Searcy made a memorable debut as the villainous Frank Bennett in Universal's critically acclaimed film, Fried Green Tomatoes, released in 1991.

Searcy has also made a significant impact in the television world, with recurring roles on ABC's Thunder Alley (1994),CBS' American Gothic (1995),UPN's 7 Days (1998-2001),and ABC's Rodney (2004-2006). He has also guest-starred on several notable shows, including Boston Legal (2004),CSI: Crime Scene Investigation (2000),and The West Wing (1999),among others.

In addition to his film and television work, Searcy has also made a name for himself in the world of theatre, with several Off-Broadway plays and regional/stock productions of "Guys and Dolls," "Cabaret," and "Jesus Christ Superstar" to his credit.

Searcy is married to the talented actress Leslie Riley and is a devoted father to their two lovely children, Chloe and Omar.
