Biography

Nick Mancuso, born Nicodemo Antonio Massimo Mancuso, is a darkly handsome actor with a career spanning over four decades. Born in 1948 in Mammola, Italy, he was raised in Canada from the age of eight.

Mancuso's early interest in acting was sparked in high school, but he chose to study psychology at the University of Toronto instead. However, he eventually returned to his passion for acting, joining various Canadian theatre groups in the 1970s. During this time, he became the artistic director for the Vancouver Playhouse Theatre and built up his classical resume at the Stratford Shakespeare Festival.

In the late 1970s, Mancuso transitioned to television and film, taking on roles in both Hollywood and his native Canada. He won the prestigious Genie award for his role in the movie Ticket to Heaven (1981),and impressed audiences with his moody, sexy presence in the US film Heartbreakers (1984). He has also provided solid support for other stars, including Steven Seagal in the action thriller Under Siege (1992).

Mancuso has become a staple as an anti-hero or heavy in modestly-budgeted independents, often playing the role of a tough guy with a serious edge. His recent film credits include Time of Fear (2002),Today You Die (2005),Contract Killers (2008),Violent Blue (2011),Entity (2013),and The Big Fat Stone (2014).

One of his most notable roles is as Franco Macalousso, the Antichrist, in the Apocalypse trilogy produced by Cloud Ten Pictures. He is also known for his starring roles in the NBC action series Stingray (1986) and the TV series Matrix (1993).

Throughout his career, Mancuso has demonstrated his versatility and range, taking on a wide variety of roles in film and television.
