Nick Dash is a multifaceted individual with a rich background in military service, as well as a plethora of experience in fiction and entertainment production. His remarkable journey began with nearly fourteen years of honorable service in the United States Marine Corps.
Throughout his distinguished career, Nick has demonstrated expertise in Marine Corps history, culture, and customs. He has had the privilege of being deployed to various operations overseas, including Japan, Thailand, the Malaysia border of Cambodia, Laos, and Korea, as well as Iraq. Notably, he has instructed over 2,000 Marines in combat skills, showcasing his exceptional leadership abilities.
Nick's last assignment with the Marines was with The Marine Corps Combat Camera office in Los Angeles, where he was introduced to the entertainment industry. He worked as a staff NCO to teach Jamie Foxx to portray a Marine in the film Anthony Swoffard's Gulf War memoir, Jarhead, starring Jake Gyllenhaal. Nick played a crucial role in providing technical and logistical support, ensuring that the film accurately depicted the lives of Marines and Soldiers in combat.
In addition to his work in the Marines, Nick has had the opportunity to collaborate on various projects, including Pool Party, Dr. G: Medical Examiner for Discovery Channel, The Best Damn Sports Show Period, and the 2005 MTV Movie Awards Show. He has also produced, directed, and starred in the short film Porthole, a semi-autobiographical film that follows a Marine's journey to find himself after leaving the Corps. The film received a heartfelt reception at the 2006 Cannes Film Festival.
Nick is currently developing several projects in Los Angeles, the United States, and abroad. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from Concordia University, Irvine.
