Biography

Nicholas resides in a picturesque village situated by the sea in West Sussex, a mere few miles away from the place of his birth. His journey in the world of drama commenced at the tender age of 10, when he enrolled in a renowned drama school. Notably, he financed his education, apart from his inaugural term, by securing lucrative opportunities in commercials and small acting roles. His breakthrough in television came with his dual portrayal of Tom Canty and Prince Edward in the iconic production, "The Prince and the Pauper". Prior to this, he had appeared in notable roles such as Heidi and Anne of Avonlea, and afterwards, he took on the character of Dobson in "To Serve Them All of My Days", Ronnie Barker's son, Raymond in "Going Straight", and Wendy Craig's son Adam in "Butterflies". His most enduring and iconic role remains that of Rodney in the beloved sitcoms "Only Fools and Horses", which ran for an impressive five series, and "The Two of Us". In his leisure time, Nicholas is an avid enthusiast of various outdoor pursuits, including surfing, sailing, scuba diving, and fishing, with the ultimate goal of obtaining his pilot's license. He also has a passion for cooking, with a particular fondness for the culinary delights of Chinese cuisine.
