Throughout his remarkable career, he not only composed numerous film and television scores, but also collaborated with celebrated artists, resulting in the creation of iconic recordings alongside the likes of Rosemary Clooney, Nat 'King' Cole, and the inimitable Frank Sinatra.
His collaborations with Sinatra yielded a series of albums that are now revered as legendary, including "Songs for Swingin' Lovers" and "The Concert Sinatra".
Additionally, he recorded extensively as a solo artist, achieving commercial success with two top-ten hits, "Lisbon Antigua" which reached number one in 1956, and "Theme from 'Route 66'" which peaked at number ten in 1962.
In his later years, he continued to produce successful albums, this time in collaboration with the talented pop diva Linda Ronstadt.
