Neil's career began as a journalist, earning the National College Emmy during his junior year at the University of Detroit. He then progressed to become the Executive Producer of The Golden Globe Awards.
After completing his education, Neil worked as a reporter for Post Newsweek and ESPN. He later became the Producer of the O.J. Simpson Criminal Trial and the Oklahoma City Bombing for ABC News.
In September 1995, Neil wrote, produced, directed, and co-starred in the critically acclaimed independent film Hijacking Hollywood, released in 1997.
Throughout his career, Neil has continued to produce and direct feature films for both cinema and television. He has won numerous top prizes at more than 50 international film festivals and has received multiple Emmy Awards for his producing efforts.
In 2001, Neil merged his production company with his brother Michael's, forming Mandt Bros. Productions. Since then, they have produced over 3,000 episodes of television for prominent networks, including Disney, Showtime, Viacom, NBC Universal, and all major sports leagues.
In 2015, Neil launched Mandt VR, a company specializing in augmented reality, virtual reality, and artificial intelligence. Mandt VR has secured deals with notable brands such as Forbes, the Pittsburgh Steelers, IndyCar, and Disney.
