Born in Aberdare, South Wales, a town he would call home for the first twenty years of his life, before making the bold decision to relocate to America at the age of twenty to pursue his dream of becoming a preacher.
He would go on to direct the film RISEN: The Howard Winstone Story, a project deeply personal to him as it is based on the life of his close friend Howard Jr.'s father. The film would enjoy a successful run in UK cinemas, playing for eleven weeks and being distributed in over twenty countries across five continents. RISEN would also garner several prestigious awards, including Best Film at the New Jersey Film Festival, Best Original Vision at the indie festival Bootleg, and a BAFTA Cymru award for Best Actor.
Following the success of RISEN, he would go on to direct THE REVEREND, a film starring a talented cast including Tamer Hassan, Rutger Hauer, and Doug Bradley. The film would be released in North America by Level 33 and in the UK by Metrodome.
In addition to his directing work, he would also serve as an Executive Producer on the multi-award-winning film THE SEASONINGHOUSE, and produce WE STILL KILL THE OLD WAY and AGE OF KILL for Anchor Bay Entertainment. He is currently working on EAT LOCAL (2016) for GFM Films.
